What is Permanent Makeup?
It is a process where natural hypoallergenic pigments are inserted into the dermal layer of the skin. When the procedure is completed the colour will appear a lot darker than the final result. This is because the outer layer of skin (the epidermis) will shred during the healing Process. The implanted pigment will fade over time due to age and lifestyle.
How is the procedure carried out?
A minimum of 24 hours before the treatment a patch test will be carried out placing a tiny bit of pigment into the skin, usually behind the ear. This is to ensure you don’t have an allergy or reaction to the pigment. A full consultation will be conducted discussing your desired outcome of final result and what style and colour pigments will suit your face and skin type. Once you are happy with style and colour chosen the treatment will begin. You will be required to return for top up 4-6 weeks after initial visit.
Who benefits from Permanent Makeup?
People who have none or thinning eyebrows and don’t want to pencil them in everyday, busy lifestyles, no time to apply makeup. People with allergies to standard makeup. People with bad or no eyesight. People who want perfect makeup 24 hours a day. People who have alopecia or have had chemotherapy.
Does it hurt?
Every client is different, some feel no discomfort – others feel minimal discomfort. Where most people feel nothing at all a small amount say they have a slight prickly sensation similar to having their eyebrows plucked. A topical aneasthetic is applied to give you minimal discomfort.
How long will it last?
The final results are truly amazing and will last between 2-5 years. This is different with every individual due to lifestyle clients skin type, medical issues. They will fade over time so a colour boost is recommended every 12-18 months.
How long will it take?
You will need to allow 2 hours and we recommend not to make any appointment straight after in case we run over.

The colour will look a lot darker but within 5-7 days will fade by 50-70% leaving it a lot lighter and more natural. You will also experience slight flaking and dryness of the treated area which will disappear within 7-14 days.
Will I need to take time off work?
