Hi my name is Laura Jane Dean, I am a fully qualified, licensed  and insured permanent makeup artist.  I have been working in the beauty industry for over 15 years in which time I have become a perfectionist in everything I do. Over the years I have gained a good understanding of what women of all ages and skin types want from their makeup .

I became inspired to become a permanent makeup artist when I went and had my own permanent makeup done by the award winning Katie Jobbins!  My own results were so amazing I wanted to make clients feel as happy and confident as I did!

My passion for permanent makeup has taught me I can give my clients  natural, beautiful makeup that lasts many years! I take great pride and care in understanding what my clients want from permanent makeup and I like to give them 100% guarantee that they will LOVE the end result!

It is really important that you book in for a consultation, we will sit down and discuss what kind of permanent makeup will suit you and how you currently wear your makeup and also answer any questions you may have. We will also look through before and after pictures to show you some amazing transformations!

Together we will design and create your new eyebrow shape,  I will draw the shape on with a dark brown pencil and we will work together   until you are 100% happy with the shape!  As I am a perfectionist at what I do I will take as much time as needed to get the perfect shape that will suit your features.

You will have 2 procedures performed before we get the perfect end result. The first procedure the colour will initially appear very bold but will soften by 70% within 5-7 days after your skin has healed. I always explain to my clients that after the first session it may fade quite a lot so not to get disappointed but this can be different with every client and some actually like it faded!!!  The second  session  is performed 4-6 weeks later  and this is where we perfect the shape and colour, some people are happy, some might want them slightly bolder or darker!

It is required that a patch test is performed at least 12 hours before the procedure.  You can either have it done at your consultation or I can send everything you need to do it out in post at your request!  The patch test consists of scratching the skin and applying a very small amount of pigment and anaesthetic  over the skin.  Providing you have no reaction we can go ahead with the treatment.

Having confidence in your permanent makeup technician is one of the most important things you need to feel. So before we start I will take as much time as needed to draw on the perfect shape, we can play around with the shape until you are 100% satisfied. When drawing on your new eyebrow shape I will use special measuring techniques to ensure that the shape will fit your natural features. Whilst nobody has total symmetry I will get them as even as possible and will not start until you are completely satisfied.

When we are both happy with the shape we will then discuss and match the perfect colour pigment for you by dabbing them across your hairline so you can see what the colour will look like straight after and then within 7 days when they are healed. The colour will be matched to your hair and skin tone, if it needs to be made cooler or warmer that is done at the second top up appointment!
